Canon printer drivers

Support guidance for Canon PIXMA, MAXIFY and imageCLASS printers. Independent of Canon UK — focused on setup, Wi‑Fi and everyday faults.

We are an independent service provider and are not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by printer manufacturers (including HP, Canon, Brother, Epson, Lexmark, Xerox and Samsung) unless expressly stated in writing. We are not “official” manufacturer support.

Common UK home models include PIXMA TS and TR series; offices often use MAXIFY or imageCLASS lasers.

Brand-specific troubleshooting

PIXMA won’t stay on Wi‑Fi

Canon inkjets are frequently 2.4 GHz-only. Connect to the 2.4 SSID, disable AP isolation, and avoid “Smart Connect” confusion by confirming the network page shows a valid IPv4 address.

Ink absorber / pad warnings

Some PIXMA models eventually show absorber full messages. That is a maintenance threshold — continuing may risk ink overflow. Contact Canon or a technician for service options; don’t ignore leaking ink.

Scanning to computer

Install Canon’s IJ Scan Utility / scanning package from Canon Support. Print-only drivers won’t expose scan. Firewall prompts should allow the Canon scanner tool.

Support code on the panel

Write down the exact support code (e.g. 5B00-style codes). Canon’s site explains each code; we can help interpret the recovery steps when you contact us.
